Komvida, a feminist company
Both Nuria and I, Bea, feel responsible for changing the reality of women in our country. In our case, rural women.
We say that we feel responsible because, if today we can be in charge of a company and combine our work as mothers with it, it is because, one day, a woman fought for our rights. With Komvida, we want to do our bit for those who fought, for those who could not fight, for those of today, and for those to come.
When we founded Komvida we did it with the purpose of contributing to people's wellbeing, and not only through our kombucha! But by generating opportunities in Fregenal, our village in the south of Extremadura. That is why we decided that, despite the logistical obstacles, our factory would be in our town. We couldn't be happier to have taken this decision, because the opportunity to help our neighbours is stronger than any economic motive.
Today, three quarters of our staff are women. Women from rural areas who have found in our project a professional opportunity, an illusion and a motivation.
They are the soul of Komvida. And we can only think of continuing to grow to continue creating opportunities and giving them a voice.
We work with, for and by all these strong, courageous and hard-working women who, in many cases, have been forgotten.
For them.
